How Payments Work
I accept payment via invoice through my Shopify storefront. I require full payment before services are rendered unless otherwise discussed or outlined in a payment plan clause in your contract. See a payment type listed at the bottom of my website? That's a way you can pay your invoice!
Please note that half of your payment is considered your commission deposit and is non-refundable regardless of work being started.
Contracts can incur late payment fees, or revision fees that are outlined in my contract in full. Should you have any questions about this please don't hesitate to ask me and I'll give more information.
How Long Will You Take?
Time to complete commissions may vary, but I generally ask anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month for standard pieces. However I do work on a first come, first serve basis. Once funds are paid, you're on my calendar and any bookings after you will be planned and promised after your quoted dates. If you need something by a specific time please include this when you contact me and I will gladly try to work with you to accommodate your timeline. Depending on workload this may incur a rush fee which will be disclosed beforehand.
Please note I will not begin your commission until the contract I have sent over to you is signed, and you have made your payment or negotiated deposit.
Do You Work on Payment Plans?
I do! Email me and let me know you're interested in working with me, but would need information about my payment plans and I'd be happy to talk with you about options!
I offer pay in 2, 4 and 6 part plans with different deposit thresholds and terms depending on your situation or needs.
Do You Use AI in Your Process?
Absolutely not, and I will not accept AI generated reference images.
When you sign a contract with me it is included that AI will not be used in any step of my commission process.
Likewise, you agree not to submit my art into any AI database, modify the image with AI, or include the image in any graphic/promotion/etc. that includes AI elements or is created by AI. Not okay with that? There's a back button at the top of your browser to leave with.
Do You Offer Progress Content?
Once I start working on your commission I will send the following for your approval:
- Finished Sketch
- Base Colors Without Detail
- Low-Resolution Final
If there are things you'd like changed with the piece please let me know, and try to do so within 48 hours if possible. Full revision terms will be outlined accordingly within your contract, and you can ask for this to be included in a quote.
Once your final low-res image is approved is when I will send an invoice for your final payment if needed. Should you have a final payment files will be sent to your email after payment is made, or should you have no outstanding fees/payments they will be sent to your email after final approval.
Do You Allow the Purchase of Commercial Rights?
I do! Simply state when you reach out that you're interested in purchasing commercial rights for the commission and I'll make sure I include that in your quote.
Not sure if you need them? Let me know what you're wanting to do with the art and I'll gladly let you know if you would be required to purchase commercial rights to do so. Please note rights may vary as they average a percentage of the commission cost and vary based on needs.
What Do You Need From Me?
The more information you can send me of what you're wanting the better! If you have references for body type, mood, pose, backgrounds, clothing, etc. send it all! I will never be upset because you send me too much information about what you're wanting and your vision.
Have certain colors you'd like for skin, hair, clothes, etc.? HEX codes are the best way to ensure that I get the exact color you're looking for.
Commission Pricing & Information
Social Icons & Logos
These vary from cute self-portraits scaled to best serve your social media platform bio photo needs all the way to logos you can use for branding and your website. These commissions include color (unless black and white design is desired or brand fitting) and depending on use will be required to include commercial rights.
Pricing for these range from $30 to $350 USD.
Busts & Portraits
This would be what I consider neck/shoulder-up of a character or self-portrait.
Sketches start at $50 USD. Colors start at $90 USD.
Half-Body
This would be what I consider waist-up of a character or self-portrait.
Sketches start at $80 USD. Colors start at $150 USD.
Full-Body
This would be what I consider feet-up of a character or self-portrait.
Sketches start at $130 USD. Colors start at $250 USD.
Book Covers
These vary from eBook covers to full-wrap covers for any size paperback or hardback with or without jackets.
Pricing for theses range from $180 to $650 USD.
Book Interior & Headers
These vary from a single header image illustration to various one-per-chapter and all the way to full-page interior design.
Pricing for these range from $70 to $800 USD.
Backgrounds
Pricing for this can vary as it is dependent upon the intricacy of the background.
Pricing for these can range from $20 to $300 USD.
Extra Characters & Critters
Pricing for this can vary as it is dependent upon how many additional characters, character design intricacy, and if you're including any little friends. Pricing is calculated using half the base commission price per additional figure.
Pricing for these can range from $30 to $700 USD.
Commercial Rights
Pricing for this can vary as it is dependent upon how intricate your commission is, and what you are planning to utilize the art for.
Pricing for this can range from +50% of total to +150% of total USD.
Rush Fees
My standard timeline averages 2 weeks to 1 month depending on availability and project, however I'm willing to work with you to meet your deadline.
Pricing for this can range from +25% of total to +50% of total depending on the project.
